My favourite is also Part III - though I also love the simplicity of the first one.James Graceyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08968719719213071671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5751360814489146754.post-51965235626019876542011-11-01T12:29:22.098+00:002011-11-01T12:29:22.098+00:00Many thanks Brian, and it was very much appreciate...Many thanks Brian, and it was very much appreciated. I generally concur with your views on the franchise in general, but would also single out HALLOWEEN III for special attention. I wasn't overly impressed with Part 4, but I did think H20 was a decent effort. Probably the second best of the Myers related films.Shaun Anderson [The Celluloid Highway]https://www.blogger.com/profile/18066744649878418309noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5751360814489146754.post-32591906038107012112011-10-31T19:26:25.647+00:002011-10-31T19:26:25.647+00:00I pretty much covered my thoughts on this whole se...I pretty much covered my thoughts on this whole series over the last several days. Part 4 I thought was decent enough and made passable by some obvious nods to the original, but the attempts at turning Myers into Jason Voorhees put me off to it. H20 I think is the best of the sequels next to part 2. RESURRECTION is hopelessly stupid, but does have some interesting ideas and Curtis's venoms5https://www.blogger.com/profile/13655919099947763891noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5751360814489146754.post-49401279844940861242011-10-21T14:48:52.258+01:002011-10-21T14:48:52.258+01:00I think I'd have to nominate HALLOWEEN III as ...I think I'd have to nominate HALLOWEEN III as my personal favourite. The entire title sequence is impressive, once again mostly due to Howarth & Carpenter's creepy music.Shaun Anderson [The Celluloid Highway]https://www.blogger.com/profile/18066744649878418309noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5751360814489146754.post-9829203180896408642011-10-20T03:54:38.297+01:002011-10-20T03:54:38.297+01:00I agree that the title screen for 'Halloween 4...I agree that the title screen for 'Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers' is rather dull, but the title sequence itself is rather well done - a moody autumnal introduction accompanied by Alan Howarth's score.johnny6666https://www.blogger.com/profile/16749738500273163297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5751360814489146754.post-38053266530509248122011-10-19T19:25:08.271+01:002011-10-19T19:25:08.271+01:00Yes, distinctly underwhelming!
