That Martin Thailand poster is kind of a spoiler. That UK Dawn of the Dead one is awesome and I'll always adore the US Creepshow poster, it's a total classic.
ReplyDeleteYes the Thai poster for MARTIN does provide a lot of plot details! Both CREEPSHOW posters are great. Of all of them I think I like the UK Quad poster of MARTIN, a minimalist design that doesn't give the game away. Thanks for stopping by Mr. Xploit.
ReplyDeleteI've always had a soft spot for the Crazies poster, the use of colour and the stand out image of the soldier in the white contamination suit but mostly due to the fantastic tagline "why are the good people dying?" somes up the powerfull message of the film

ReplyDeleteIn response to Mr. Anonymous - I love westerns as much as horror and sci-fi, so there will no doubt be more in the future. In fact it's high time I redressed the generic balance of this site. But when I get back into the swing of things (suffering a lack of inspiration at present) horror & sci-fi will always be towards the top of my agenda.
The Spanish 'Dawn of the Dead' is INCREDIBLE.

ReplyDeleteI'm working on a booklet for Dawn of the Dead, and I would like to aks if you are absolutely sure about the Spanish poster. Is that actually a theatrical poster? I know a different artwork from Spain, but of course there can be two different styles.

Hi Martin - apologies for the delayed response. No I can't say that I'm absolutely 100% sure about the Spanish DAWN OF THE DEAD poster. But the film was called ZOMBIE in Spain, and the writing beneath the title is Spanish. I must have thought it was Spanish for some reason, but it's so long ago now, I can't remember! - Good luck with the booklet, let me know how you get on.
