What a repertoir, wowzers, thats some quality filmmaking up there! Recently had the chance of seeing After Hours, it's still stuck in my mind...it's one of those movies I want to re-watch instantly. Bringing Out the Dead is so underrated! Without a doubt one of my favorite directors ever, a master.
ReplyDeleteI'm very glad you enjoyed the images Franco! I'm not actually much of a Scorcese fan truth be told. But I too really like AFTER HOURS. I've been promoting this film for years as one of Scorcese's best, but its fate as an obscurity in Scorcese's filmography is sealed. The other Scorsese films I'd defend to the hilt are MEAN STREETS and TAXI DRIVER.
ReplyDeleteGreat post - I've got to say I've only watched probably half of these films (Scorcese's good but I've never been a big fan of his work), but I can appreciate good art work.

Can't help but feel that it's a shame the Poles don't make abstract poster anymore.
Cheers Jack! Well despite the profile of Mr. Scorcese, a number of his films have drifted into semi-obscurity. So it doesn't surprise me that you've only seen half. There are a few of his films (KUNDUN, THE AGE OF INNOCENCE, and NEW YORK, NEW YORK) that don't interest me in the slighest. He's always been a very inconsistent filmmaker for me, and quite often he has made films that just don't interest me on any level.
